Hello, my name is Kynedi Nelson. My passion is assisting people in making their own personal health and wellness goals a reality.
For many years I struggled with an unknown chronic illness. The occasional flare-up made it impossible for me to move. I saw many different doctors and specialists. Body parts would swell or hurt with no cause. Some days I could hardly get out of bed and other days I would be sent home from work because of the amount of pain I was experiencing. Even though there didn’t seem to be a definitive source, I knew the pain was real and needed to be dealt with. The best advice I ever received came from a physician who didn’t believe in prescribing medication, unless absolutely necessary. He spoke to me about alternative healing, changing my diet, and being in control of my own emotions. As I explored alternative healing, I found yoga, acupuncture, and self-awareness. I came to the realization that much of the pain I experienced was brought on by unhealthy personal habits and emotions. The more I learned about alternative healing, the more I understood the idea of “Take care of your body and it will take care of you.”
Now I practice yoga daily, workout weekly, and go to acupuncture regularly. I continue to learn new ways to improve in health and wellness. And use my knowledge to help those around me.
Today I work as a Life Coach, teaching individuals how to take care of their own mind, body, and spirit. I am in the process of growing as a Certified Personal Trainer and have started down the path of attaining my Yoga Instructor Certificate. I dedicate my practice to helping individuals lead healthier and happier lives.
I am a strong believer that the earth provides everything we need to survive. Recently, this idea led me to explore a more plant-based diet, and now I eat entirely vegan. I’ve always loved cooking and baking. Creating alternative vegan food options inspired me to develop a vegan baked goods business called Creative Kandy. I am constantly gaining more understanding regarding nutrition and how to incorporate it into my life and encourage those around me to do the same. Through my passion for supporting others in making their own personal health and wellness goals a reality, I continue to expand my own knowledge and appreciation for being human.
